This volume focuses on the theme of human families and Christianity in areas including the impacts of economic inequality and insecurity on family and community life, the unique concerns and experiences of families of color, and the particular challenges facing migrant families within the ongoing global pandemic.Based on presentations given at the spring 2020 CTS conference (conducted virtually due to COVID-19), the book includes essays from plenary speakers Stephanie Coontz (Evergreen State College), Darlene Fozard Weaver (Duquesne University), and Victor Carmona (University of San Diego), as well as many others.Jacob M. Kohlhaas is associate professor of moral theology at Loras College in Dubuque, IA. His work has been published in journals and magazines including Theological Studies, Journal of Religious Ethics, and US Catholic.Mary M. Doyle Roche is associate professor of religious studies at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, and author of Schools of Solidarity: Families and Catholic Social Teaching (Liturgical Press).
