The values of solidarity and human dignity incorporated in Catholic social teaching come to life through the stories of people served by Catholic Relief Services. Through CRS programs of micro-credit in Mexico and India, men and women develop their skills and establish small businesses that create jobs for others–from apple farming through brick-making. In Zambia, people learn how to become caregivers for those with HIV/AIDS; and in Rwanda, the land of the Hutu and Tutsi, people learn to become peacemakers. In Nicaragua, farmers gain hope and a stake in their future as they learn to produce organic coffee for the Fair Trade market.
