Daniel O’Leary’s Memorial Mass for You at Home.

A memorial mass of Fr. Daniel O’Leary was held at St Francis Xavier, Lavender Bay (Our Lady of the Way) on 6 February 2019.

Daniel’s long-time friend, Monsignor Tony Doherty, celebrated the mass, and offered his own personal reflections on Daniel, and outlined the impact that Daniel’s life’s work has had on so many.  Tony also shares a stirring poem written for Daniel from UK author, and fellow Tablet contributor, Jonathan Tulloch.  Monica Brown from Emmaus Productions also share a little of the project she and Daniel had been working on over recent months - an online retreat series based on Daniel’s most recent book An Astonishing Secret.

Fr Daniel (Donal) O’Leary was born in 1937 in County Kerry, Ireland, studied for the priesthood at All Hallows’ College, Dublin and was ordained there for the Leeds Diocese in 1960.  He passed into God’s loving embrace on 22 January 2019.
