Distinguished British historian and theologian Jane Shaw introduces four innovators of Anglican spirituality from the early twentieth-century – Percy Dearmer, Evelyn Underhill, Somerset Ward and Rose Macaulay – and suggests how they might help us develop a renewed Anglican spirituality for our own ‘spiritual but not religious’ age.
