These words of hope and the love of God are selected from The Revelations of Divine Love, one of the great classics of the spiritual life, written in the fourteenth century by the woman known as Julian of Norwich. It is thought to be the first book written in English by a woman which is still in print today.
Robert Llewelyn editor and compiler of Enfolded in Love, was a priest, writer and teacher on prayer. He was the unofficial chaplain of the Shrine of Lady Julian in Norwich before he died, aged 98, in February 2008.
