Jesus and the Canaanite Woman is taken from Matthew 15:21-28 and Mark 7:24-30.
The Canaanite mother in this story had great faith in Jesus and kept pleading with Him. She knew that Jesus was loving and kind to everyone, no matter what race, nationality, class, or gender.
“It isn’t right to take the food
Right off the children’s plates
And throw it to the dogs,” He said;
But were these words of hate?
Quick as a flash she answered Him:
“Yes Lord, but puppies waiting
Beneath the table get the crumbs
The children drop while eating.”
