In 1866, the Redemptorists received the miraculous icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. When the icon was enshrined in their Church of St. Alphonsus in Rome, Pope Pius IX gave a command to the Redemptorists: “Make Our Mother of Perpetual Help known throughout the world.” The Redemptorists have made it their mission to do just that.
