The Called to Be a Catechist Series provides information, guidance, and inspiration to catechists—whether seasoned or rookies—that will help them be more capable and confident in their responsibility of developing the faith in new generations.
One of the first questions any new catechist asks is, “What’s my role?” The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ National Directory for Catechesis answers that question by outlining six important tasks for every catechist. This helpful booklet highlights those tasks and explores essential practices that make faith formation a life-giving vocation.
