From Coburg to the Kimberley (2010) was Noel McMaster's narrative of lifelong learning in Catholic faith and ways. In this publication he is into retirement and has framed a few questions to help chart his journey towards faith's finale. Retirement has brought him back to Halls Creek in the East Kimberley. While he has no official role there, he takes opportunity to 'cultivate the primacy of elemental twos and threes who together might hope to enable that freedom which the Gospel of Jesus of Nazareth is meant to be about. 'In this book, he explores the 'faith of a retiree - which encompasses the range of values that purpose and chance have enabled me to engage with during my life.'

Noel McMaster is a Redemptorist priest who, over more than fifty years of service, has been a chaplain to the Australian Regular Army, missioner, ITIM chaplain, and scholar. He was parish priest in the East Kimberley town of Kununurra, WA, from 1978-1981 and 1989-1997, Halls Creek from 1997-2006, and Moora, from 2007 to 2011. He is retired and has returned to live among friends in the East Kimberley.
