From the moment Rose was born in 1586, people admired her beauty. She was so beautiful that her mother once placed a wreath of flowers on her head to show her off to friends. But out of love for Christ, Rose made daily sacrifices as often as she could and eventually entered the Third Order of St. Dominic. She is the patron saint of South America.
