St. Jude was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus (not to be confused with Judas). His writings are even part of the New Testament. Jude is known best as the patron of “lost causes” because the tone of his writings encourages endurance through adversity. St. Jude is a source of strength for many people when all hope is dwindling.
