Born in France in 1651 and considered the founder of Catholic schools, John Baptist de La Salle is the patron saint of teachers and principals. Through his generous spirit and acts, he made education accessible to the young, poor and marginalized. Today, his Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools carries on his legacy.
