As Victoria returns to a COVID normal, so do we.

2020 has been a difficult year for many, and we at Garratt Publishing have not been immune.

Following the passing of our beloved team members, Garry Eastman, our company founder, and board member Maria George, I want to thank so many of you who reached out to us via email, phone call, and even by post! Your thoughts, reflections, prayers, and kind words offered great comfort to our team in a time of deep sadness. The spiritual needs of Garratt customers continues to be our focus as we  honour Garry’s legacy, and Maria’s endeavours to do all we can to bring you closer to our Lord, build a better Church, and a better society.

With restrictions easing in Victoria, I am pleased to announced the reopening of our Bookroom on select days and times by appointment. In keeping with a COVID-safe environment, we have introduced a number of measures that focus on the welfare of both customers and staff.

We ask that masks be worn (in line with Government requirements), that you take advantage of our hand sanitiser (stations are already in place), and I assure you that our Bookroom surfaces will be cleaned regularly throughout the day. Most importantly, we ask that you contact us to book in a time to visit us in the Bookroom, as only a limited number of people are allowed in store at any one time.

You are welcome to pick up any click-and-collect orders BY APPOINTMENT ONLY on:
Days: Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays
Time: Between 10am and 3pm

Please ring or email us ahead of your visit so we can lock in a preferred time for you.

Our warehouse remains open Monday-Friday, and as Advent, Christmas, and the new school year approaches, resourcing has been scaled up to fulfil orders as quickly as possible. However, Australia Post and select courier companies are experiencing unprecedent volumes of packages and mail, and we are aware that delays may occur once orders leave our warehouse. We understand how  frustrating this potential delay in receiving your mail and packages can be. With this in mind, I would encourage anyone with Christmas gift plans to order immediately to ensure your orders arrive in a timely fashion. Our latest range and catalogues may be found HERE. Watch for further correspondence from us with great new, faith-filled books and resources in time for the new Liturgical year, Christmas, and beyond.

Although it is not possible to hold our regular Advent luncheon in the Bookroom this year,  we have a series of virtual events lined up to fill the void, as well as a special event for educators. (We look forward to serving a lavish sandwich spread next year – fingers crossed!) More information will be available in coming days.

New books have arrived in store including The Green Bible, Celebrating the Lectionary Year B and Doorways into Hope and Joy at Advent & Christmas  (just in time for Advent and Christmas) as well as many more.
