Biographical information on the back of the package:

Our Lady of Czestochowa is a depiction of Mary said to have been painted by St. Luke on the Holy Family’s cedar tabletop! In the painting, Mary has darker skin, earning her the nickname “Black Madonna.” After centuries of miraculous stories, she is now in Poland. The scratches on her face were caused by a blade during an attempt in 1430 to steal the painting.
